KAI Battle of Three Kingdoms battles are divided into three phases:
- Recruitment: The phase where you recruit warlords.
- Deployment: The phase where you position the recruited warlords.
- Battle: The phase where the deployed warlords fight automatically.
These phases are grouped together into a single unit, called a "round," which consists of three stages: early, middle, and final. The winner is determined by either being the first to bring down the opponent's castle or by reducing the enemy's castle durability more than your opponent.
This is the revamped military card battle of KAI Battle of Three Kingdoms, compared to the arcade version.
The beautiful warlord cards, crafted by various illustrators, are one of the main highlights of this title. Besides featuring the generals from the arcade version of "Sangokushi Taisen", there are also new generals who were exclusively illustrated for this release.
